Into the Wild

I’ve had a surprising amount of discussion about this movie with young men.

I never read the book. I only saw the movie. Pretty sure I won’t read the book.

His main problem was his dysfunctional family. Why did he turn his back on civilization? Mainly because his parents were screwed up.

He was reading transcendentalist authors in college. This was part of his problem.

I was also a bit angry with him for not learning to camp and hunt further down south before trying to go for the big leagues.
